Just like many of us, Sofia Richie Grainge knows the struggle of dealing with sensitive skin as the seasons change. Fall, especially, can be a tumultuous time for those of us prone to breakouts and irritation. But fear not, because Sofia has spilled the beans on her weather-sensitive fall makeup routine that might just save your skin from the seasonal woes.
In a recent "Get Ready With Me" video posted on November 8, Sofia, donning cherry red nails and an oversized black sweater in her perfectly lit bathroom, shared her skincare struggles. Acknowledging the havoc the changing seasons wreak on her skin, she pointed to a breakout on her cheek.
Sofia reveals that the combination of dryness and breakouts is an annual ritual for her during the cold-weather shift. So, to combat this, she has crafted a fall makeup routine tailored to her needs. Her lineup includes essential complexion products designed to infuse much-needed hydration and a variety of blush options.
Starting the routine with Hourglass's Veil Hydrating Skin Tint ($49), Sofia applies it strategically on her cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. She blends the formula seamlessly, praising its lightweight feel and hydrating properties.
Next up is the "holy grail" product she swears by—the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($49). She dots it across her face, blending until it's nearly invisible.
With the cold-weather-proof base in place, Sofia goes for her favorite—and slightly controversial—orange blush from NudeStix in the shade Picante ($35). Layering on more blush, specifically the shade Eternal Flush from Hourglass's Ambient Lighting Edit Palette ($90), she adds a touch of pink to the high points of her cheekbones. To complete the look, she sculpts her face with bronzer from the same palette, using the shade Lustrous Bronze Light under her cheekbones.
For her eyes, Sofia keeps it simple with Hourglass's Unlocked Instant Extension Mascara ($32). And the pièce de résistance? A coat of Hourglass's Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm ($36) on her lips—a personal favorite that leaves her ready to face whatever challenges the day, and the fall weather, throws her way. And that includes any dryness and fall windchill!
