While I love a flushed cheek look whenever I walk out, I also love applying blush right after when I do my skincare in the morning. So, I have tried and tested too many blushes from different brands and I am always on a lookout for a new formula and color of blush. Just when I had a look at these Pixi On-the-Glow blush all over the internet, TikTok and where not? I instantly wanted to just get my hands on these. I loved the idea of the stick that can effortlessly make my cheeks look flushed with just a swipe of a blush. Also, love how gorgeous shades this blush has.
I tried all three of the shades of this blush and loved every single one because of the gorgeous and creamy texture of the blush stick.
If you are on the pink side and love a soft barbiecore effect on your face then go for the shade fleur, as it has a baby pink color with a soft and subtle princess hue which looks great on every skin tone.
Another one is Juicy which has a shade of coral and orange. I think this one is great to wear in the summer or when you want something standout or bold in any season.
Last but not the least for sure, and it’s Ruby, it has a cherry red shade and the hydrating creamy formula of the blush is what makes it a perfect one for all year long wear.
I've been drawn to lightweight and fresh products and the Pixi On-the-Glow Blush Stick has become a favorite for its versatility. Whether worn on bare skin or over makeup, its super buildable formula allows for a subtle hint of color with one application or a more pronounced blush-centric look with two to three layers.
Ideal for those who prefer a quick makeup routine, a swift pass of this stick over cheeks and lips creates an effortlessly moisturized appearance. Its creamy gel-like texture glides smoothly onto the skin, ensuring an even and natural flush of color. This makeup gem is not only beginner-friendly but also long-lasting, providing a healthy radiance that enhances natural beauty. With a price tag of only $18, it's a valuable addition to any makeup collection.
The buildable nature of this blush stick offers various application methods for different looks. The brand recommends twisting the product up from the base, sweeping it onto desired areas, and tapping it in with clean fingers. For a quick two-minute look, a swipe on the apples of the cheeks and lips followed by blending with a tapered blush brush or fingertips yields a uniform, radiant finish.
Personally, I love applying a touch on the top of my nose and eyelids for a sun-kissed appearance without the risk of skin damage. Mixing and matching colors is another fun option; for instance, combining Fleur on the cheeks with Ruby on the lips. Adding faux freckles on the cheeks and nose completes a charming strawberry-girl makeup look.
While I appreciate the color payoff, I do wish Pixi offered more shade options beyond the current three, allowing for greater creativity and catering to a broader range of skin tones. Additionally, it's important to note that the finish of the product is distinctly dewy and creamy, providing a wet look. If you're in search of a matte blush, this might not be the ideal choice. This one have a creamy and extremely hydrating texture so if you really like this blush but also don’t want your makeup or cheeks look too flushy or wet then I would recommend patting a subtle compact powder after you are done with your makeup and setting spray at the end would do a great job for keeping the blush in place and making it last for the day.
So, yes it’s worth it, if you ask me. It works great for my skin and I find it a great option to carry as it is highly travel-friendly, has a perfect size, and the formula and stick makes sure it doesn't smudge in my makeup bag, travel bag or in my hands even.
